It has been my experience that doctors seldom care to discuss problems called by their colloquial names. If I want to be taken seriously, I find out the medical term and use that. The doctor is usually quite happy to talk about that. So I don’t know if my guy leaks but I know I have autoimmune disorders and a sensitive digestive system.

My gastroenterologist gave me the same response…he doesn’t believe it’s a legitimate condition. I also have several autoimmune disorders and IBS

Very excellent article I have 2 auto immune diseasesystem and am challenged with I B S . When I asked my gastroenterologist about leaky gut he expressed his lack of belief that it was a real condition.
