I say influenced because I am not overloading on fat. I cut sugar and most carbs. I eat leaner meats and lots of veggies. I limit my fruits to berries for now. I have noticed a huge change. Besides losing about 18 pounds, I have more energy, less joint pain, barely any muscle cramps and I I sleep very soundly. I am amazed. Thankfully my Lupus has been very stable for the past few years anyway, but these changes are really quite remarkable. Wishing everyone good health!

I have seen smoothie recipes with flax seeds or chia seeds. Did you find having nuts or seeds ever worsened symptoms or that it was still okay? Do you go for an all AIP friendly diet? I would appreciate any suggestions as I have had an autoimmune response and wasn’t entirely sure where to start. Thank you!

I have a nutritionally dense smoothie with berries, spinach, flax seed and cinnamon daily. I started this diet two weeks ago and I cannot believe the difference in how I feel. My pain has virutally gone away, I am sleeping SO MUCH BETTER and no longer have brain fog. As a result, I have so much more energy.
