  1. You aren’t supposed to use Celebrex if you have lupus, because you’re more likely to have heart or cardiovascular issues

    1. Hi Lisa! Thanks for posting. I wanted to provide some additional information about Celebrex and note that is important to your doctor before making medication decisions.

This is a post from the Johns Hopkins Lupus Center about NSAIDs including Celebrex. The post is in line with your statement, that potential side effects of NSAIDs include high blood pressure and an increased risk of heart attack or stroke. The article also highlights potential side effects that may cause additional kidney damage with NSAIDs — which could be important information for people with lupus nephritis.

Again, it’s important to communicate with your doctors regarding medications that you are taking or plan on taking.

Thanks, Lisa, for the comment and for being part of the LupusCorner! 🙂

  2. I absolutely love your blog and find a lot of your post’s to be what
precisely I’m looking for. Do you offer guest writers to write content to suit your needs?
I wouldn’t mind writing a post or elaborating on most
of the subjects you write with regards to here. Again, awesome web site!
