Do Lupus Warriors turn to home remedies or over-the-counter solutions to help manage the fatigue, pain, and other symptoms of lupus?
Despite the fact that only 1 lupus medication has been approved in the last 60 years, there are many reasons to be optimistic. Anifrolumab, made by AstraZeneca, just met the clinical endpoint in a phase III clinical trial. And, lupus nephritis medication Gazyva (obinutuzumab), made by Roche, received the Breakthrough Therapy Designation from the FDA.
Still, as these and other treatments make their way to market, many Lupus Warriors use alternative treatments like aromatherapy and massage to manage symptoms.
In this month’s LupusCorner Q&A Forum, Lupus Warriors share their personal strategies & home remedies.
Hi, I have Lupus and Fibro., I use LIFEWAVE patches X39! Also, changed diet to exclude meats, lots or veggies and fruit! Getter stronger! I also juice, one green drink I make–anything green, I use kale, cucumbers, ginger, celery, green pears, green grapes, green applies and of course pineapple! That helped the bowel problems and again I am feeling better
Did lifewave x39 help you with your fibro and lupis condition? How? Planning to start using c39 for my joint pains due to lupus. Any side effects?
I try a lot of OTC stuff to help ease my Lupus, I’ve heard a lot about Turneric but was told Its bad g f ir people with Lupus, but dont know why if its supposed to be good for Joints, when I’m in the hospital they always try to give me Melatonin but I’ve been told U cant take Melatonin because we Lupus we already have an over active immune system, & Melatonin reves up your immune system. If thats true why are they pushing Melatonin on you in the hospital. My guess is hospital Doctors know very little about Lupus
